Gas explosion in Mexican Children hospital kills two A gas explosion has struck a children's hospital in Mexico City, killing at least 2 people and injuring dozens, including 22 children. The explosion, on the western edge of Mexico City, was massive and the buildings also got destroyed. Rescuers combed through the rubble of the Maternity and Children's Hospital to look for people who were trapped following the blast. City officials have revised the death toll from 7 to 2 with 5 others gravely injured. According to the Mayor of Mexico City, Miguel Angel Mancera, the area is being evacuated for safety because a lot of the people are babies in the crib area. About 100 people were believed to be inside the hospital at the time. BBC
