Upcoming DLE, poor reportage on media coverage - National Media Commission The National Media Commission says its preliminary findings of the upcoming District Level Elections (DLE) on media coverage indicate very poor reportage. This was contained in a report it presented at a media briefing in Accra. It says TV stations monitored within a two-week period showed that only two percent of air time was devoted to the elections. Radio Stations recorded only one percent while newspaper publications gave less than zero point five percent coverage. This the National Media Commission described as worrying since District Level elections are said to be the bedrock for grass root participation in governance. The Chairman of the Commission, Kabral Blay-Amihere has therefore challenged the NCCE and the media to step up efforts to sensitise the public on the elections. GBC
