Vice President cut sod to begin Cenpower project at Kpone

Vice President Kwesi Amissah-Arthur has officially cut sod for work to begin on the Cenpower project for the generation of 350 megawatts of electricity at Kpone in Tema. 

The nine-hundred million dollar project will be completed before the end of 2017.  

Speaking at the ceremony Vice President Amissah-Arthur, said government is committed to providing a reliable, efficient and a sustainable energy sector for the growth of the economy.

Vice President Amissah-Arthur. Founder and Chairman of Cenpower Generation Company Limited, Sam Brew-Butler said the ceremony represents another major achievement that will increase Ghana's energy supply needs and facilitate the country's economic growth.
