Expert advocates use of vaccines in malaria treatment A Fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Dean of Public Health at the University of Ghana, Professor Isabella Quakyi has advocated the use of vaccines in treating malaria. She said the development of an effective malaria vaccine is one of the most important approaches that would provide a cost effective intervention to available malaria control strategies. She therefore encouraged experts to carry out more cutting edge researches into the area to develop a vaccine with about 80 percent protection. GBC
