The Daily Graphic applauds the spirited performance of the Black Stars in last Tuesday's match against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa, which earned the team qualification to the quarter finals of the AFCON tournament. The paper expresses joy at the level of support that Ghanaians showed throughout the game. The paper calls for more commitment from the players and technical team at a time the Stars enter the elimination zone.

The Ghanaian Times observes that the directive by the Accra Metropolitan Assembly to open all markets in the Metropolis at 6 am and close them at 6pm is one of the best strategies to deal with the perennial fires. According to the paper, the directive and other measures put in place will go a long way to bring sanity to the Central Business District of Accra. The paper hopes with the assistance of stakeholders the measures will be sustained.
