NADMO adopts measures to prevent perennial flooding in Accra The Chairperson for the Technical Committee on Hydro Meteorological Disaster at the National Disaster Management Organisation, NADMO, Sarah Ahinku, says the organisation has put in place measures to prevent perennial flooding in Accra this year. She said steps have also been taken to ensure proper coordination in disaster prevention. Speaking to Radio Ghana, Sarah Ahinku said her outfit is waiting on the Meteorological Services Department to prompt it on the levels of rains expected this year. As part of NADMO's preparedness, she said her outfit will liaise with district chief executives, to engage residents in distilling drains to prevent flooding. GBC
