The Ghanaian Times is unhappy that in recent times the President has come under a barrage of verbal attacks and insinuations by some political opponents. It cites the recent visit by the President to Germany where some Ghanaian protestors were reported to have booed and jeered at the President. To the paper, Ghanaians both home and abroad have every right to express their views through peaceful means. But when such issues turn dirty and nasty, it does not augur well for the sanctity of the presidency. It cautions all sides of the political divide to be mindful of their utterances to avoid provoking unwarranted attacks on each other.

The Daily Heritage is rallies support for the Senior National team, the Black Stars as they battle out with South Africa today. According to the paper, the team needs the support and prayers of all to make Ghana proud again after the Brazil 2014 World Cup fiasco.

The Daily Graphic calls for timeliness to the power crisis. The paper says what the country seems to be forgetting is the toll the power situation is having on the economy, because no one is calculating the cost and losses. The Graphic says what is making matters worse is that, Ghanaians have been literally left in the dark as to the situation on the ground. It says power is key for any meaningful development in any country and it will be bad if Ghanaians throw their hands in despair.
