AFCON 2015: Burkina Faso team 'very disappointed' for no goals in two games @ AFCON


Burkina Faso defender Mohamed Koffi has said their team is very disappointed because they have not scored goals in their two games played at the on-going 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon).

“I am not sure what is going on. Two matches without a single goal is a great disappointment for Burkina," he said.

"We are vice-champions (runners up from 2013). Two years ago we scored a lot of goals but this year nothing goes our way. May be the gods of football are not with us,” said Koffi.

Ahead of today’s Group A game at the Ebebiyin Stadium, star Burkina player Jonathan Pitroipa remains a doubt for the Stallions' clash with table leaders Congo Brazzaville after sustaining a shoulder injury against Equatorial Guinea.

Burkina Faso need nothing less than a win if they hope to make it to the quarterfinals of the tournament.

"We need to question ourselves to get some confidence because it is not normal that a team like Burkina Faso plays two games without scoring,” added Koffi.
