Kotoko hit with injury ahead of Hasaacas clash Asante Kotoko's midfielder Kwadwo Poku has been knocked in a challenge with Aduana's Robert Aryeetey late in the game as he could not be substituted since Kotoko had exhausted substitutions. Cosmos Appiah told the club's website that, the midfielder had a thigh problem that will be assessed during the week. “His thigh is swollen because his leg was stretched when the player stepped on it. We will do further checks to determine the extent of the injury”. He however, confirmed: "For now, he will need a normal rest whilst we continue with the appropriate treatment to get him back”, Substitute Dauda Mohammed encountered a similar attack on his knee from Godfred Saka but Cosmos Appiah provided a positive update on him. “Dauda Mohammed is stable and we can confirm that he can train”, he said. Kotoko will miss the duo in their First Capital Plus Bank league at home to Sekondi Hasaacas on Wednesday. SOURCE: Allsports
