CAGD doubts existence of ghost names on gov't payroll The Controller and Accountant General says it cannot confirm or deny the existence of ghost names on government's payroll. At a news conference in Accra, the controller, Madam Grace Adzroe, said there are some inconsistencies in the media reports on the payroll. She said most of the publications contained serious factual inaccuracies which are greatly affecting the integrity and credibility of the department. She insisted that the department conducts continuous cleaning of the payroll data through audit, and head counts and wonders how there could still be ghost names. The brouhaha over the existence of ghost names in the payroll system is being championed by Imani Ghana which insists government's payroll is full of ghosts. GBC
