The Ghanaian Times urges the Electoral Commission to investigate allegations that the voters register is bloated. According to the paper, for the second time in two months the New Patriotic Party, NPP, has made allegations in the media that the register is over bloated.  In the view of the
paper, the current register created from the data base of the EC contains the photographs and bio-data of people registered to vote and therefore will not be difficult to be cleared. It is therefore asking the NPP to substantiate the claim to enable the EC to investigate and expunge the names.

The Daily Graphic has appealed to the ECG to produce a load shedding schedule to end the eratic power supply.  According to the paper, the country needs more power to increase productivity and create jobs for the teeming youth. It says, though Power Minister, Dr Kwabena Donkor is enthusiastic about resolving the challenges in the power sector, there is the need to convince his colleague Ministers to pay up the debts owed ECG by state institutions. The paper believes that any further delay in fixing the power challenges will retard plans to rebuild the economy.

The Today newspaper bemoans politicization of the educational system in the country. The paper says this is the major reason that has made standards of education to keep falling over the years. The paper says what politicians must know is that Ghanaians cannot build the nation
without making education a priority. The paper urges politicians to be action oriented on issues of national concern and stop politicizing them just to score cheap political points.
