Government says suggestion to suspend crude oil production not prudent Government says it will not be prudent to suspend production of crude oil as a result of the falling prices of the commodity on the international market. Many, including Minority spokesperson on petroleum, K.T. Hammond have made such a suggestion but Deputy Minister of Energy Benjamin Dagadu told Radio Ghana such a decision will be a disincentive to future investments in the sector. He also indicated that the refusal of some transport operators to reduce transport fares following the 10% reduction in petroleum prices will inform government's decision on future reductions. GBC
