NCCE calls for active participation in District level elections to entrench grass root democracy.

The Chairman of the National Commission for Civic Education, NCCE, Mrs. charlotte Osei has bemoaned the low participation in the District Level elections and urged the electorate to this time round go out in their numbers to vote for candidates of their choice.

She said last year for instance only 18 percent of registered voters cast their ballots in Greater Accra, which is not good enough.

Mrs. Osei was launching in Accra the theme song of the commission for this year's District Assembly and Unit Committee elections.
