DVLA committed to enforcing road safety regulations

The Chief Executive of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority, Rudolph  Berkely says the Authority has stopped issuing road worthy certificates to vehicles without seat belts since September last year.

Addressing a news conference in Accra on the current road safety situation, Mr Berkely said it is illegal to drive a vehicle without a seat belt.

The DVLA has a policy to import huge quantities of seat belts and train locals to fix them in vehicles.
