National Youth Policy implementation plan launched in Accra Government has re-enforced its desire to reduce unemployment rates in the country. The launch of the National Youth Policy implementation is one key strategy adopted as an intervention. Speaking at the launch in Accra, the Minister at the Presidency in charge of Public Private Partnership, Rashid Pelpuo, noted that greater focus will be placed on youth in Agriculture, and financial institutions will be included in the strategy with the hope of making credit facilities accessible to the youth. Mr Pelpuo charged the National Youth Authority to liaise with all regional co-ordinating councils to adopt interventions in the policy that will work in their region to push forward government desire to deduce unemployment rates. The Chief Executive of the National Youth Authority, Ras Mubarak emphasised government’s commitment to ensuring that the future is secured for the youth of the country. He acknowledged that youth development is key to national development and pointed out that a peaceful and tolerant atmosphere must be created for it to strive. GBC
