Ashanti REGSEC re-activates operation to flush out nomadic herdsmen

The Ashanti Regional Security Council, REGSEC, has re-activated its security strategy "Operation Cow Leg," to flush out all nomadic herdsmen and their cattle from the Agogo enclave in the Asante Akyem North district of Ashanti. 

"Operation Cow Leg" comprises both military and police personnel who will marshal all the relevant security strategies to ensure that life and property of Ghanaian citizens within the Agogo enclave are protected against the alleged brutalities of the nomads and their cattle once and for all.

The Ashanti Regional Minister, Samuel Sarpong, who chairs the REGSEC, made this known to the media after leading all members of the REGSEC to ascertain the extent of damage caused by cattle at Asante Akyem Agogo.
