Kofi Annan: We have to find a way of reaching out to Boko Haram Former UN Secretary General Kofi Annan says he wishes Africa can unite to fight extremism as in the example of Europe during the recent attacks in France of a satirical magazine ''Charlie Hebdo''. Mr. Annan is in Nigeria to give a helping hand in the electoral process there. Mr. Annan also responded to calls that strong powers like Britain and America should be at the forefront in the fight against Boko Haram. On whether Nigeria can have credible elections amidst the issue of internally displaced persons, Mr. Annan had this take. Mr. Annan suggests that a political solution with military pressure, but above all says talks will be an antidote to fighting Boko Haram. BBC
