Fidelity Bank donates to two orphanages in Accra Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited together with its newest family member, ProCredit, has feted children of the New Life Orphanage at Nungua and Home for Women and Children (HOMWAC), at the Mallam Atta market in Accra. A delegation of 30 staff led by the Director, Financial Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility, Dr. William Derban, interacted with children from the two orphanages. The financial highlight of the occasion was the presentation of assorted food items, drinks, toys, learning aids, clothes and a host of other goodies to the children. Commenting on the gesture, Dr. Derban said the donations were from the generosity of Fidelity and ProCredit staff and noted that a core part of Fidelity’s culture is supporting others who are in need. Dr Derban said the gesture is therefore a fraction of what Fidelity has in store for the country this year. Receiving the items, the Founder and President of New Life Orphanage, Rev Cephas Afotey, thanked Fidelity for the gesture. “The most important thing is that my children are happy and may Fidelity continue to grow from grace to grace,” Rev Afotey added. Rev. Cephas Afotey noted that the orphanage depends on the support of private and individual donors and encouraged others to emulate Fidelity. The proprietor of HOMWAC, Alberta Adaglo said she was also happy to receive the items on behalf of the children. GBC
