Construction Of Public University In Eastern Region To Start

A 15-member Site Advisory Committee for the University of Environment and Sustainable Development to be established in the Eastern Region has been inaugurated in Koforidua.

The Committee, under the Chairmanship of the Regional Coordinating Director, Rudolf Korzie Sambo, has the responsibility to give technical advice on the selection of site, give technical direction in the acquisition, processes and procedure related to its preparation, and consider any other issues that may be referred to it for professional advice.


Inaugurating the committee, the Regional Minister, Mr Antwi-Boasiako Sekyere said so far the site for the main campus of the university at Trom, near Somanya had been procured and the acquisition of the other campus site at Donkorkrom is in progress.
