13th January, 2015 The Ghanaian Times expresses grave concern about the report by the Ashanti Regional Security Council that Fulani herdsmen have resurfaced in the Agogo Traditional Area. According to the Paper, the herdsmen are reported to be wielding Ak-47 assault rifles and other injurious implements. Their cattle are also said to have destroyed plantation in the areas, thus creating tensions between them and the farmers resulting in violent clashes. The Paper reminds the herdsmen that the January 2012 Kumasi High Court order banning them from the area is still in force. It says the country is governed by law therefore those who the flout it will be dealt in no uncertain terms. GBC
