Ghanaian actress Lily Ameyaw dies at 55

Ghanaian actress Lily Ameyaw, popularly known as Nana Yaa in the Obra drama series on Ghana television, is dead

The late Nana Yaa, 55, was also a panelist on an Akan program "Wo Ba Ada Anaa” on a local FM Station in Accra.

The leader of the Obra drama group, Amankwa Ampofo, described the late actress as a versatile player and a very friendly person who joined Obra series in 1989.
 
Reports say one week celebration of her death will come off on Wednesday, January 14, at Sekyere Dumase, near Mampong in the Ashanti Region.

Funeral arrangements will be announced later.
