GCAA to probe crash landing of Ethiopian cargo plane 

The Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), says the Ethiopian Airline Boeing 737 cargo aircraft operated by ASKY Airlines from Lome to Accra which skidded off the run way Saturday morning has been moved off the run way.

In a statement signed by its Acting Director-General, Abudulai Alhassan, three persons were on board the aircraft. 

The GCAA says investigations are underway to determine the cause of the incident. 

Meanwhile, the Authority says flights schedules have not been disrupted by the incident.

The Corporate Officer of the Ghana Airport Company, Newman Korley, has told news men that the accident scene has been secured and cordoned off. 

He said the crew members on board have been treated and discharged at the 37 Military hospital.

Emergency teams on the ground include the GCAA, Ghana National Fire Service, Ghana Armed Forces, NADMO, Ghana Police Service, National Security, National Ambulance Service and the Ghana Airport Company. 

Journalists were not allowed access to the accident scene.
