Cross-examination in Sodomy Case continues An Accra Circuit Court trying the Takoradi based medical doctor Sulley Ali Gabass for sodomy will continue with cross-examination of the victim today the 7th of January. The court presided over by Mrs. Rita Agyeman Budu last November heard the evidence -in- chief of the sixteen year old senior high school student. The case is being heard in camera because of the need to protect the identity of the victim. However, snippets of information gathered indicate that the case is likely to be heard in open court after cross examination of the victim who is the first prosecuting witness in the trial. Already the victim has narrated how he became friends with Ali Gabass on Facebook, which is a social media platform to the time he was allegedly sodomised by the doctor. Dr Gabass is standing trial over a two count charge of defiling a child under sixteen years and unnatural carnal knowledge, an offence he has denied. He has been denied bail and remains in lawful custody. GBC
