Obstetrics & Gynaecology Dept of Korle-bu demand immediate settlement of debts owed by NHIA


The Obstetrics and Gynecology Department of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital is asking  the  National Health Insurance Authority to settle all debts owed the department so that it can continue to deliver health care.

According  to the Head of the  Department, Professor Samuel Amenyi it has  been denied  access to funds for about a year and  this  is impeding its quest to provide quality maternal care to pregnant women. 

Professor Amenyi was speaking in Accra when the Imperial Charity Foundation  handed over the refurbished first floor of the maternity block to the management of Korle-Bu Teaching  Hospital.
