US opposes Israeli freeze on PA tax revenues

The US has denounced a move by Israel to freeze the transfer of tax revenues to the Palestinian Authority in retaliation against their bid to join the International Criminal Court (ICC).

According to the State Department Spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, Israel froze 127 million dollars in tax revenue to the cash-strapped Palestinian Authority after it applied last Friday to join the ICC in The Hague, saying the action will raise tensions.
