Law to make participation in National Sanitation Day mandatory, in the offing A Deputy Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Emmanuel Agyekum, has described the third National Sanitation Day as impressive. He said gradually Ghanaians are buying into the idea; a situation he says is heartwarming. Speaking to Radio Ghana, Mr Agyekum said a sanitation law to compel citizens to keep their environment clean is in the offing. He said it is currently being worked on at the Attorney General's Department, and will see the light of day soon. Mr Agyekum said some lessons have been learnt from the previous exercises and they will be translated into subsequent ones to ensure maximum participation.
