National Service Coordinator allegedly commits suicide The Suhum Municipal Coordinator of the National Service Scheme has allegedly committed suicide outside his home in Somanya. Lambert Akansah is one of 23 district directors of the National Service Scheme under investigation for the alleged disappearance of GH¢ 7.9 million from the Scheme. The Akuse District Police Commander, ASP Francis Ackah in an interview with Radio Ghana said investigations have revealed that Mr Akansah hanged himself the very day he was to honour an invitation to the BNI. ASP Ackah revealed that although family members have not been forthcoming with information, the police have gathered that there was a problem and Mr Akansah had made inquiries from family members if anyone had ever committed suicide.
