Dzamefe C’ssion to present report after AFCON 2015 - Ayariga The Minister for Youth and Sports, Mahama Ayariga says the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into to the Black Stars 2014 World Cup fiasco, will be presenting its report after the Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea which kicks off on January 17. The Minister said this is to help the commission complete its reports and also to help the players focus on the task ahead. Mr. Ayariga said the commission “invited me to a meeting at which they gave indications about their deadline and their readiness to present the report and I also gave them indications of our own schedule and preparation towards Equatorial Guinea. He said “from all indications I believe that we would be able to arrange and receive the report after Equatorial Guinea – AFCON 2015.” Speaking on Accra based Radio, Citi Fm, the minister dismissed public speculations that the senior national team, the Black Stars should not participate in AFCON 2015 since the Justice Dzamefe Commission report was not ready. Public opinion is rife that the Black Stars should be excluded from the Equatorial Guinea competition till after the recommendations of the Presidential Commission are implemented. But Mr. Ayariga said “all these months of discussions has taught all of us what is right and what we shouldn’t do. “We have learnt, we are waiting for the commission’s report for additional learning and direction and I assure you that going forward, we would work diligently and everybody involved fulfils his part.” GBC
