Energy Expert lauds decision to place operations of Ghana Gas under GNPC

The need to improve the balance sheet of the country's energy institutions has informed the decision to place Ghana Gas under GNPC as a subsidiary. 

It will also reduce the investment risk that has been a major challenge in the negotiations to address constraints in the country's power sector. 

An Energy Expert, Kwame Jantuah tells Radio Ghana that the huge investment in the upstream oil and gas sectors make GNPC as a standalone and not having the capacity to be a major player. 

He said the move will inject some efficiency in the management of the country's gas resources.
