According to the paper, though both countries have commonalities that bound them together, the different tariff prevailing in Francophone and Anglophone countries have hampered smooth trade between the two countries. The Graphic believes the promotion of effective collaboration will be a good start for the integration of the whole sub-region. It urges the leadership to show commitment to all protocol and agreements by removing all obstructions to inter-state commerce and collaboration. The Daily Heritage condemns the treatment meted out to an 18 month old innocent toddler by a 22 year Ugandan witch-like lady. The paper says children are gifts from God and must be given full attention by parents. According to the paper, lessons in this barbaric act by the Ugandan lady is that parents must be more responsible in taking care of their children since the children cannot talk when they are being abused.
