Doe Adjaho refuses to be sworn-in The Speaker of Parliament, Edward Doe Adjaho, has assumed office as President in the absence of President Mahama and Vice president Kwesi Amissah-Arthur. His decision not to be sworn in however generated some debate in parliament on Wednesday. The President is on a day's visit to Burkina Faso to press upon the military for a speedy hand over of power to a civilian government while Mr Amissah-Arthur is in India on a four day visit. GBC
