Over weight Police Officers in New York to pay for fitness equipment 

Police officers of the New York City Police Department have been compelled to pay for exercise equipment as they are not able to fulfill their professional duties due to their weak physical condition and unhealthy weight.

A Police report described affected officers as pathetically fat.

It said officers get heavy on the job doing a lot of sitting around and eating Twinkies at their desk.”

New York City Police Boss, Inspector Ellen Chang therefore ordered the equipping of one of the department’s rooms with fitness equipment, to motivate the subordinates to improve on their shape.

They complained about having to donate money for the sport program they do not want to take part in and considered the new fitness room a useless undertaking.

Weight is a serious problem among American police officers.
