Experts Laud Financial Literacy week Major stakeholders have described the just ended Financial Literacy Week as a success, considering the level of participation and the general education on the operations of the financial sector of the economy. A Director at the Ministry of Finance, Joseph Chognuru said the essence of the financial literacy week has been achieved saying it provided the platform for experts to educate the public on the country's financial operations. Speaking on Talking Point, Mr Chognuru was optimistic that the exercise will bring some sanity into the economy. An Assistant Director of Other Financial Institutions Supervision, Bank of Ghana, Yaw Gyimah Larbi pointed out that the central bank has put in place effective and efficient mechanism in monitoring activities of micro financial service providers. For his part, the Executive Director of Data Bank, Reverend Daniel Ogbamey Tetteh said the Financial Literacy week must be organised more frequently considering the numerous benefits it give the people and the economy as a whole.
