Reported cases of cholera decline in Accra Metropolis Statistics from the Ghana Health Service indicates that the rate of reported cholera cases is declining in the metropolis. Out of 2,386 cases reported at the end of August, the number is now down to 1,425 as at last week. The Deputy Director, Public Health, Greater Accra Region,Dr John Bertson Eleeza said even though the rate of cholera infection is on the decline, key stakeholders must work together to effectively eradicate the disease in Ghana. He also urged the public to report early to the hospital whenever symptoms of cholera occur, to prevent needless deaths. GBC
