Veep Eulogises Late Ekow Nyamekye Awoonor

Vice President Kwesi Amissah Arthur Friday morning joined people from all walks of life for the memorial and burial service for a late renowned lawyer, lecturer and consultant, Ekow Nyamekye Awoonor at the Christ the King Parish in Accra. 

Mr Awoonor who was a former board member of SSB died at the shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Maryland, US on the 10th of last month.

The 65 year old was a graduate of the University of Ghana Law School, Ghana School of Law and Temple Law School in Pennsylvania, US. 

He later, undertook short Professional Development Courses in oil and gas in Houston, US and Scotland.

The late Awoonor lectured at the Makere University in Uganda and the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

Upon his return to Ghana, he went into active business, and later founded the Awoonor Law Consultancy. 

Mr Awoonor left behind a wife and three children.
