Minister of Energy Encourage Local Entrepreneurs To Involve In Oil Production In line with the Petroleum Local Content and Participation Legislative Instrument, government has since the inception of oil production in the country awarded approximately five hundred and eighty-four million dollars’ worth of contracts to Ghanaian companies. It also projects to award a further 20 billion dollars in contracts in the next five years. The Minister of Energy and Petroleum, Emmanuel Armah Kofi Buah who made this known in Takoradi, encouraged local entrepreneurs to take advantage of the package when it comes into operation.
