CFAO Ghana Launches New Equipment

CFAO Ghana Limited on Thursday introduced JCB Backhoe 3DX Super Loaders dubbed “Money Making Machine” into the Ghanaian market.

The 92-horse power loader with one cubic meter front bucket and 0.24 cubic meter rear bucket is specially designed for African market.

The front bucket is the famous six in one shovel with six functions such as dozing; loading; digging; grabbing; grading and backfilling suitable for construction work.

The company went into a partnership with Societe Generale to provide flexible financial arrangement for customers interested in buying the equipment.

Mr Isaac Adjei Mensah, the Deputy Minister of Roads and Highways, launching it, commended CFAO Ghana Limited for introducing the multi-purpose loaders to assist contractors and construction firms to be more efficient and effective.

He said road construction is capital intensive and for that matter they need quality, robust and durable equipment like the JCB Backhoe 3DX Super Loaders to enable them execute a quality job.

He noted that the country’s road network had doubled over the years from 35,000 kilometers to 70,000 kilometers they could not continue to maintain or construct new roads without these multi-purpose heavy equipment.

The Minister said through the partnership, the two companies had brought equipment that fit into road construction and any other heavy duty activities closer to the consumers and commended the two for their vision and efforts to support the growth of the sector.

The Minister said in the past they do not have the chance of getting new tractors because they always come as used ones and they were facing lots of challenges and thanked CFAO for bringing in new durable tractors to assist to enhance work at the sector.

Mr Adjei Mensah therefore encouraged management of CFAO to take advantage of the enabling environment to do more investments in Ghana, especially assembling of some of their equipment in the country.

He also urged investors and contractors to patronize the JCB Backhoe 3DX super multi-purpose loader to maximize efficiency.

Mr Bruno Gobilliard, Executive Director, CFAO Equipment, speaking at the launch said the equipment come with up to a 5000 hour free warranty or up to five years warranty on the powertrain.

He said the company also introduced After Sale Service with high experience team of certified engineers all over the country and spare parts too are available in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi offices.

He said the concept of backhoe loader has been created by JCB and the first unit arrived on the market on 1953 and since then JCB has become the worldwide leader on backhoe range of products.

Mr Edouard Rochet, Managing Director of CFAO Ghana Limited said their partnership with Societe Generale is still very active and every contractor awarded with a contract in Ghana could apply for the easy lease solution and get the famous world’s number Backhoe loader.
