Minister for Water Resources, Works & Housing Visits Beneficiary communities under Small Town Water Supply Project

The Minister for Water Resources, Works and Housing, Alhaji Collins Dauda, has ended his 3-day working visit to parts of the beneficiary communities under the Small Town Water Supply Project introduced by the government in its quest to provide potable water for all who resides within hard to reach communities in the country.
 
Alhaji Collins Dauda began his visit from Babatokuma in the Kintampo municipality through Kwapong in the Asunafo South District to Nsapor in the Berekum Municipal Assembly. 
He inspected works completed at various pump sites as well as on-going ones and dialogue with management teams of the water systems on how to sustain and generate more income from the project.
 
The minister together with the technical team of  community water and sanitation Agency in the region schooled the benefactors on good maintenance culture and the need to pay duly for services rendered them for sustenance.
 
The small town water supply system project was  introduced by the authorities as an upgrade of the borehole water system which was seen as a limited source of water supply to communities which lack the availability of potable water.
 
In an interview with our GTV’s Correspondent Freda Abban, Alhaji Collins Dauda outlined what will be done to monitor steadily the progress of the system and make amends where necessary.
