Government Committed to Improving Infrastructure Situation in Tema - Tema MCE 


The Tema Metropolitan Chief Executive Isaac Ashai Odamtten says government is committed to improving the infrastructure situation in the Tema Metropolis and the rest of the Country.
 
He said the road networks, trading, health and educational infrastructure in the Tema Metropolis are receiving serious attention and by the end of the year major infrastructure challenges in the area will be addressed. 

Mr. Odamtten was addressing the congregants of the Upper Room Assembly at the Church’s Annual Amazing Grace Thanksgiving Festival in Tema. 

He mentioned the Klagon-Lashibi-Sakumono, Adjei Kojo, and Tema Newtown roads, the Mexico and Oninku schools infrastructure as some of the projects on-going in the Metropolis. Dominic Hlordzi was there and has filed this report from Tema.

The Annual Amazing Grace Festival which is preceded with 13 days fasting and prayer is organized to thank God for His favour upon the Church and the country. 

Addressing the congregation, Mr. Odamtten said the Assembly is adhering to the national land use policy and will be constructing vertical school buildings that will have all auxiliary facilities including CHPS Compounds. 

He said about twenty new police post will also be put up in the metropolis and five will be done by the end of the year to beef up security to curtail the crime situation in the Industrial City. 

The MCE urged Ghanaians to count their blessings as a nation and stop preaching messages of despair as serious development in taking places through the country. 

The General Overseer of the Upper Room Assembly Bishop Beatrice Dzandu-Hedidor urged Ghanaians to observed personal hygiene, clean their surroundings and endeavor to refrain from eating from unhygienic eateries. 

She asked mothers to make time to cook for their children to take to school to avoid eating food from insanitary places which may lead to contracting Cholera. 

She also entreated Ghanaians to assist government in its efforts to prevent the Ebola disease from coming into the country. Bishop Dzandu-Hedidor pleaded with all to observe the Ebola preventive directives to ensure that the deadly disease does not surfaced in the country. 

On the economic challenges she noted that the nation has suffered worst situations in the past saying the hardship is temporal and called for support for the mangers of the economy to turn things around for the better.
  
Prayers were offered for God to intervene in the present challenges confronting the nation.
