GES, JICA collaborate to build capacity of Pre-tertiary teachers

The Ghana Education Service and the Japan International Cooperation Agency are collaborating to build the capacity of Pre-tertiary teachers to help address the challenges in the educational system. 

The collaboration is to institutionalize the Pre-tertiary Teacher Professional Development and Management Policy, PTPDM. 

Speaking in Accra at the first joint meeting of the two organizations, the Chief Director of the Ministry of Education, Enoch Cobbinah, said government will continue to provide good infrastructure, logistics and the enabling environment to facilitate teaching and learning. 

The meeting was held to approve the revised PTPDM Policy and the new Career Progression System for Pre-tertiary teachers.
