Ghana attains MDG 1 as poverty levels drop

Ghana has achieved MDG 1 as poverty levels declined by 7.7. 

This is according to the Ghana Living Standards Survey Six (GLSS6) released in Accra by the Ghana Statistical Service. 

The figures indicate that poverty rate now stands at 24.2% whilst extreme poverty rate stands at 8.4%.
