Mediation meeting to resolve chieftaincy problem held in Yendi

The people of Zakorli in the Yendi Municipality have organized a mediation meeting to resolve a chieftaincy problem in the area. 

The meeting which was championed by the Yendi Catholic Peace Centre was a follow up to a workshop on mediation organized by the centre last month at Yendi. 

The conflict resulted from two people contesting the Zakorli skin. 

The Bishop of Yendi Most Rev Vincent Sowah Boi-Nai said the mediation was organized for the Elders and the youth of the two parties at Zakorli to find a lasting solution to the disagreement. 

He said many challenges have long history and are due to illiteracy because no one keeps records of such history.
