UTAG Attributes Postponement Of Re-Opening Of Universities For New Academic Year To Threat Of Ebola

The University Teachers Association of Ghana says the postponement of the reopening of schools for the new academic year is not entirely about the strike on Book and research Allowances. 

The Public Relations Officer of KNUST, Vincent Lomotey, said the rescheduling of the re-opening was to enable the University take precautionary measures against any threat of Ebola. 

Speaking to Radio Ghana, he said the University is taking stringent measures to prevent any outbreak of the virus, especially considering the arrival of foreign students. 

For his part, the Head of Public Relations of the University of Mines and Technology - UMAT, Appiah Kubi said management is yet to decide whether to reschedule the re-opening or not.
