Government directs health facilities to set up Isolation wards to handle any case of Ebola The Ghana Medical Association has renewed its calls on government to step up its level of preparedness against the Ebola virus. The Deputy General Secretary, Dr Justice Yankson, asked the media to be circumspect in their reportage, so as not to cause unnecessary fear and panic. Meanwhile, Government has constituted an inter-ministerial team comprising the Ministers of Health, Interior, Defence, Communications and Local Government and Rural Development as part of efforts to scale up ongoing activities to ensure that Ghanaians are protected from the Ebola Viral Disease. Under the Chairmanship of the Minister of Health, the inter-ministerial team will be responsible for the intensification of the fight against the deadly disease. GBC
