GHS Taking Bold Steps To Curb High Incidence Of New Born Deaths. The Ghana Health Service is taking bold steps to curb the high incidence of new born deaths in the country. At a National Forum to solicit commitment and support from both the public and institutions to make it a reality, a Four Year National Strategy and Action Plan was launched. The Child Health Coordinator at the GHS, Dr. Isabella Sagoe-Moses identified lack of equipment in health facilities, inadequate skilled health providers and certain cultural practices as some factors hampering their effort.
