Christian Health Association Restores Healthcare Services to NHIS card holders Nationwide The Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG), has directed its members to restore healthcare services to NHIS card holders across the country. This follows an agreement between the Association and the National Health Insurance Authority. At the meeting, the NHIA promised to facilitate the payment of claims for March 2014 starting this year. A statement from the Authority said the NHIA and CHAG will ensure certainty of payments, considering all current restraints. The statement announced a new tariff review cycle for implementation by January next year. An interim increase of 12 point five percent will, however, take effect from tomorrow as steps to complete the full review by 30th September and implement it by first October 2014, are taken. The NHIA and the CHAG agreed to work together to complete a review of a new Provider Services Contract and apologised for any inconveniences their actions may have caused. BBC
