Ghana Statistical Service Receive Support

The World Bank and the International  Association Development are offering  a 40 million dollar credit facility to build the capacity of the Ghana Statistical Service and nine Ministries, Departments and Agencies to provide relevant and quality statistics for the country's development  program.  

To this end, two committees namely the National Statistics System Committee and the Technical committee of the Ghana Statistics Development Project have been inaugurated in Accra to ensure effective implementation of the project. 

A Deputy Minister of Finance, Cassile Ato Forson who inaugurated the committees noted that an efficient statistics system is important towards sustainable development.
