La - General Hospital confirms receiving more cholera cases

Medical Officers at the La General Hospital have debunked reports that the hospital is over whelmed with cholera patients at the OPD and is turning away patients.  

They say the hospital is rather receiving more cholera patients than usual. 

At the time Radio Ghana visited the hospital, some cholera patients who were on admission, were receiving treatment.  

The Medical Officers however admitted that there is an
outbreak of the disease and advised the general public to practice good personal hygiene in order to avoid contracting the disease.  

They advised the media to get their news items from appropriate sources and avoid creating fear and panic in their reportage.
