Supreme Court orders Business man Alfred Agbesi Woyome to Refund all Monies Paid to Him by the State

The Supreme Court has ordered Businessman, Alfred Agbesi Woyome, to
refund all monies paid him by the state.

This was a unanimous ruling delivered by the Supreme Court following a review application brought by Former Attorney -General and Minister of Justice, Martin Amidu, challenging the constitutionality of the judgement debt paid to Mr Woyome. 

The court held that the said contract abrogation which resulted in the payment, was unconstitutional and to that extent null and void. 

The court also held that, The High Court at which the substantive case is being held is not the appropriate forum. 

It also reprimanded Former Attorney- General and Minister of Justice, Mrs.
Betty Mould Iddrissu for ordering the payment to Mr. Woyome.
