Parents and relatives of the abducted girls by Boko Haram express worry about the fate of their girls

Reports from Nigeria say parents and relatives of the 280 abducted girls by Boko Haram are expressing worry about the inability of the Nigerian Army to rescue the girls despite the promises made by the Nigerian government to help liberate them. 

They said weeks and months have passed without any concrete efforts and signs that the abducted girls could be saved. 

Meanwhile, community leaders in the areas where the abduction took place are also worried about the human right abuses by the military who are only arresting muslims on suspicion that they belong to the militant group Boko Haram. 

But, a spokesperson of the military chief said news of human right abuses by the soldiers cannot be tolerated and would be investigated.
